Thomas Mason
GENERAL MANAGER
Thomas Mason is the CEO of PUR Innovations, bringing over 20 years of experience in release agents and more than 15 years specializing in polyurethane foam additives. Holding a degree in Biochemistry from McMaster University, he has extensive expertise in managing chemical additive supply chains for leading polyurethane system houses. Thomas is recognized for his ability to foster strong, collaborative relationships between customers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners while delivering strategic, solution-driven results. He is committed to advancing innovative fire retardant technologies and developing safer, more effective alternatives to conventional industry solutions.
Jim Tobias
CHIEF TECHNOLOGY MANAGER
Jim is the Chief Technology Officer [CTO] for PUR Innovations for the company’s insulation product division. Jim holds a B.S. in Biochemical Engineering from Moravian College and an MBA from Cornell University. Prior to joining PUR Innovations Inc., he held a variety of increasingly significant roles within applied technology and research fields at several fortune 500 companies. He has over 39 years of experience within the polyurethanes industry which include global technology and innovation management, new product development, portfolio strategy, project management, technical service and applications research development. He is predominantly fluent in organosilicon chemistry, amine catalyst synthesis, solvent and waterborne release agent technologies and formulary polyurethane systems development. Moreover, he has authored or co-authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications and holds 37 granted US and World patents.
Clayton Mason
Senior Technical Sales Account Manager
Clayton Mason brings over 8 years of experience in the polyurethane industry, specializing in spray foam applications. With a background in Chemistry and Business from the University of Waterloo, and previous experience as a Technical Manager at Pur Polymerics, he combines technical expertise with a strong understanding of business operations and customer-focused solutions. Driven by an entrepreneurial mindset, Clayton is actively involved in all areas of the business, including supply chain management, administration, accounting, and technological innovation. He is passionate about advancing the next generation of fire retardant solutions for polyurethane formulations while maintaining a strong focus on customer service, communication, and long-term industry relationships.
